MY NEW PUPPY!!!!!!!

Yes it’s true, you read it right, I got myself a NEW PUPPY!! I have been messing around with the idea of getting a dog for a while now. My biggest reason not to get one is well, my employer didn’t want one. But she soon came to realize that I really wanted one, and she know it would make me happy (plus, she wants me to stay longer). After weeks of talking about it, she told me yes I could get one! And the best part is she would pay for it!!!

So I did a ton, I mean a ton of research on finding the perfect dog. I spent many hours on the phone with breeders, AKC, friends, and so forth. I went and I met a handful of dogs, and never felt good about them. So a week went by, and I found this breeder down in Pennsylvania. I went down there with Janene to meet with her and the dogs. I feel in love with the Carmel Morkie. I knew she was the perfect match for me!

I was so nervous, I never had a strong love for dogs, or a brand new puppy in my arms. So Janene held her while I drove home. I was so worried that she was going to pee on me or the car.But she was perfect the whole car ride home. She only threw up twice. (That’s normal for a puppies first car ride)

She is a Morkie. A mix between a Maltese and a Yorkie. She weighs 2.4lbs. She is a beautiful Carmel color coat. She is 12 weeks old. When she is full grown she will weigh 5lbs.

I have and always will love the T.V. show Friends. So I knew I wanted to name her after the show somehow. Rachel was to human like; Monica didn’t seem to fit, so PHOEBE is her name! I love Phoebe in the show, so I knew it would be the perfect match! And watching my new puppies’ personality she fits the name just right!!

The first night I had her was a living HELL. I never realized how hard it was to have a dog. She was always crying, barking, and peeing every 10 seconds. I would try to hold her and show her love, but all she wanted to do it bark. She cried and barked the whole night. I would take her out to go to the bathroom, but would not go. She would go right when I put her on my floor. This went on for the first few days. I would cry cause I was getting nowhere with the house training. I got a bunch of books on house training you dog. So after spending more hours on learning about dogs, I think I am doing pretty well on house training my Phoebe.

She is doing a lot better now. She sleeps through the night; she will only have a couple of accidents in the house. And she will only bark when she needs to go potty, or when she is playing! I am still trying to tell myself that it is ok that she still pees in the house, and I have to take her our every hour or two. I hope she will soon learn to go to the door when she needs to go.But hey, she already plays fetch with you!

Cutlers Visit To NYC

I was able to have Aunt Val, Katelyn, Megan and Mike come and stay with me for a couple of days. Mike was running in the Boston M so after that they came down to Jersey for a few days.It was so nice to have family come and stay with me! I really miss my friends and family! I loved being able to show them my life in Jersey!!

We had a great time going into the city and exploring! I was the “tour” guide. I took them Downtown- Mid town- Uptown! We did the Brooklyn Bridge, Bull on Wall Street, Staten Island Ferry, Canal Street, Times Square, Central Park, Temple, ABC and NBC studios, Rockefeller Center, 5^th ave, Grand Central Station, shopping, a Broadway (WEST SIDE STORY) drove around New Jersey and so much more!!! We also played some wicked fun card games!!
I only got us lost once!! I was very surprised with myself! I loved being able to show them what I have been exploring and learning out in the big City!! I love them all so much, and so grateful that I was being able to spend time with them !! Thanks guys for staying with me!!

New York City at Christmas

I have always had a major love for New York City. I have been blessed in the past to go and visit a couple of times. But I have always wanted to go and visit during the Christmas season. Going to the Macy Day Pride, seeing all the lights, Rockefeller Center Tree, the window displays along 5^thave., the snow in Central Park etc. It was on my “Bucket List”. Well as I mentioned on the last post, I got to attend the Macy Days Pride! And now I have seen New York City at Christmas.

It was hard to be way from family and friends during the Holiday season. I missed going to all the Christmas activities, and just being with family during that time. And it was crazy because my employer didn’t even put up a Christmas tree or anything. So it really didn’t feel like Christmas.

So one weekend I thought I would go into the City and make one of my dreams come true! It was a really cold day, but it just added to the magic of the season! Janene came with me, and we explored the city! We spent hours walking up and down street looking at the window displays, all the lights, the Christmas trees in all the high end stores. (My favorite was Tiffany’s Inc. the tree was covered in real diamonds!) During our time there, it started to snow! I LOVED it! We stopped at Starbucks for a Chi Tea, and keep exploring! Towards the end Janene was a frozen, but I wanted to keep going!

I am so grateful for this experience that I have been blessed with. I am making so many amazing memories, achieving some of my dreams, learning and growing in so many different ways.

Ice Skating at Rocketfeller Center 2009

I wanted to go ice skating at Rockefeller center last year, but never got the chance. So I wanted to make sure that I got to do it this year. Before I went ice skating I went out to dinner with my employer and some of her hot male interns! We went to a sea food place.. I HATE sea food, but I had to act like I liked it in front of the babes! Even though I didn’t eat very much, my plate cost 200.00. Our grand total was well over 900.00. I peed my pants a little when I saw that!

After the great dinner, I went and met my friends at the ice skating rink. The line was well over 3 hours long, but my friends waited in line while I watched hot men eat! Haha.

I had such a blast skating. I was a little shaky at first, but then got the hang of it! It was awesome to be somewhere the famous people go for fun! We were having such a great time laughing and playing that they asked us to film us of Good Day America! So yes, I was on national TV again! We ice skated till they closed! I am so happy/grateful for this awesome experience!

Macy Day Parade 2009

I was so excited that I was going to be in New Jersey for Thanksgiving! It has always been a dream of mine to attend the Macys Day Parade!! Janene and I had to wake up at 4:30am so we could catch the 5:06am train which would arrive at 5:46am in the City. Once we walked out of Penn Station and started heading up 7^th ave, all the roads were closed. So we just walked in the middle of the street all the way up to 6^th and Ave of the Americans. It was extremely crowded. I mean it was so bad that we were stuck in the same stop for an hour trying to make our way to the gate. Knowing me I was sick and tired of not going anywhere, so I jumped the gate and started walking to an empty gate spot. Of course I got in trouble with the police for getting onto the pride grounds. I told them that I have to get out of the crowd before I would hurt someone. (In a kidding matter) I guess he felt sorry for us and took us right up front to a wonderful spot. Our spot is right where the floats stopped to perform! So every time the float would stop, the famous person would pose for photos and would talk with us! It was freaking awesome! The balloons are sosos much bigger in person! It takes 30 people to hold up on balloon.

The parade was more than I could ever imagine. I am soo grateful I was able to achieve one of my life dreams!

Brooklyn Bridge

Before Janene moved back to South Africa, she wanted to visit the Brooklyn Bridge. I have only visited the Bridge once since I moved out here. And that was with my brothers and we didn’t walk acrossed it. And the only other time I have been there, is with my dad on my senior trip. We went at dusk, so it was cool to now have seen it at daylight and night.

The Bridge is so amazing. You can see so many different sites at a new angle. It makes the city skyline look flawless. Janene and I had a great time walking up and down the Bridge. I just love living near the city, so I am able to do so many awesome things!!

I just want to give a quick shout out to BODY-N-BALANCE blog. My cousin (not really my cousin, but I like to call her that)! Natalie Phillipps is a Certified Personal Trainer and working on her degree in Exercise Science.

She has made a blog to help expand the knowledge of becoming stronger in health and loving yourself. I LOVE her blog! She gives out great hits to help make working out better, healthy foods, learning to love what you have, etc.

One thing that I love is, she made me a nutrition/diet plan. I have already seen a major difference in my life! I have more energy, feel healthier. This is just one of the many things Natalie does to help you out!

I love my job! I am working for the best family in the world!! I love everything about my job! The kids are the best kids ever! We have so much fun playing and doing all different kinds of activities! The nanny before always had them watch TV and do nothing. So I started a rule that you can watch a hour a day. They don't even like watching an hour anymore! They rather rub my feet then sit and do nothing! We are always out and about exploring and learning!!

Lee my employer is the BEST!! she is a single mom and works as a Trader on Wall Street. She is the most giving person in the world. She opens her house to anyone, she serves all the time, and is willing to give anything to anyone to make them happy. I love hanging out with her. She takes me out to dinner and we just have a blast talking and spending time together. One weekend when the kids where with their dad we went shopping and she got me a pair of 7 OF ALL MANKIND pants and JUICY COUTURE SHIRTS! I was so excited to get all of it for free!! and last weekend she brought me a home a pair of tall UGGS! I am soo spoiled! I am so happy out here!!!!!!!

I just want to express my love for fall. Don't get me wrong I love summer and always being outside, but its something about fall that I just love!

Being in New Jersey for fall this year has been amazing! All the trees and the crisp humid air is breathtaking! I love just wearing my jacket and walking in and out of the trees, or having the window rolled down and blasting my music, the smells of fall, getting excited about the holidays and so much more. I JUST LOVE FALL!!!! I can't wait to go up to Vermont and seeing all the different colors on the trees!! pics to come!!!

The Removal of My Tonsils

*** Beware of what you are about to see*** if you have a weak stomach, look anyways it is cool!!

I have always known that I have had extremely HUGE tonsils. Every time a Dr. would look into my throat they would say "Wow you have extremely huge tonsils." I grew to expect that answer every time. It never really occurred to me that I should get my tonsils removed. I had no idea that if you have huge tonsils you have a good chance of tonsillitis. During the summer I was always tired, strep, weak etc. I went and saw a Dr. and she said that I have tonsillitis, and that I need to get them removed before it gets worse. I called my mom and told her. Her response was I want you to come home so I can take care of you! I was so excited to get my tonsils removed, cause that meant I was coming home! ( I didn't think of the pain at that time).

I was able to plan my trip home for 3 weeks! The first week was going to be all fun! Seeing friends, family, shopping, eating at the places I love. Then weeks 2 &3 would be of me not talking!

On Monday August 24, 2009 was the big day to remove my extremely huge tonsils! My dad took me to the hospital (It was also ShayLynn's first day of Jr. High, so my mom stayed with her). I was not nervous, I just wanted to get this done and over with! When the Dr. came in to see if I have any last questions, I asked if I could see my tonsils when they were out!!

I believe the whole surgery took about 30 minutes. I woke up in the recovery room 3 minutes after I was rolled in! At first I was not in pain, I was just sleepy cause of the meds! They took me to my recovery room and my mom was waiting for me (my dad left and went to work when my mom got there). I asked how long I had to stay at the hospital, they said about 4 hours or more. I was so mad, I just wanted to go home and lay in my bed! I asked and asked if I could please go home. 2 hours later they were tired of me asking when I could go home, and told me I could leave now! I got home and slept for the rest of the day.

The first couple of days I had no desire to talk. I KNOW, I never thought the day would come! My family would ask me a question and I would just look at them. Opening my mouth would start the pain all over. My wonderful mom bought me One Tree Hill season 7 to keep me busy! I watched so many movies, ate mashed potatoes till I was sick, slept the days aways.

It took me about 2 weeks to start eating normal food again. It would still hurt to talk and open my mouth really wide. I lost 14 lbs. during this whole process! I think I have gained 10 of it back! Now when I look at my throat I think, I miss my HUGE tonsils!!

I feel soooo much better now! I am not tired, weak, sick etc. I am so grateful that I went through that process to feel better all the time!

When I first moved out to New Jersey, I was not sad at all! I was so excited for this amazing adventure. Well being away from home for 8 months must have done something to me! Cause when I was leaving to come back from my amazing vacation I cried all the way to Texas! The tears started when I gave my dad a hug at the security line.. and didn't stop till I was in Texas trying to find my next gate. The couple that was sitting next to me thought that I was afraid to fly. So not the case! So I just want to thank all of my amazing friends and family! I love and miss you guys like crazy!

Oh CANADA

I totally forgot to post about Canada! While up in Vermont Natalie, Nichole and myself drove up to Monteral Canada for the day! Were we are in Vermont it only takes an hour to get across the boarder!

We woke up at 9:00 am and started our road trip to Canada. We were worried that we wouldn't get pass the US boarder because Natalie nor Nichole have a passport. So of course they had me act dumb and do all the talking to the guy. Yes I worked my charm and got us in!

We got into downtown Monteral around 11:00. We got some what lost cause everything is in French! So we always had to pull over and ask where to go! It was funny! We found Saint Catherine street ( its like their Time Square) parked and started our shopping spree! I felt we were in Time Square, but it was clean! They shopping is amazing! We spent many hours in stores like Betsey Johnson, BGBG, Lucky, Jimmy Choo, etc. You may ask why we would drive all the way up to Canada to do shopping when we could just go into the City? Cause it is so cheap there!! I came home with a lot of amazing things!

For lunch we ate at an underground french restaurant! It was weird having to look at something all in French, and hoping it takes good! Thank goodness the food was amazing!

After we ate we did some sight seeing. We stooped at some old cathedrals, Olympic park, Jazz festival and a casino! In Canada you have to be 18 to gamble. Yes we went and each spent 20 dollars on the slots! I left with 15 dollars more than I walked in with! After we went to Notre Dame Cathedral. That is the Cathedral that Celine Dion got married in! It was breath taking!

For dinner we went to an Irish Pub! Ate and danced the night away! It was a great trip up to Canada!

ONE TREE HILL

I am SOOO in LOVE with ONE TREE HILL! I can't wait for the new season to start!! I am kind of nervous because Lucas and Payton are no longer in the cast. I still don't know why. So I am very interested in how they are going to pull this off!! I am very excited that Julian is staying! cause I am a big fan of him!! If you have never seen One Tree Hill.. YOU NEED TO!!!

Vermont

What do you think of when you hear about the state of Vermont? Trees? Hillbillies? Nothing worth seeing?... OK this is what I thought the first time I was going to Vermont with my dad. But once I got there I was in love with the state!

The new family that I nanny for has a second house up in Vermont. So when I found out that we would be spending part of the summer up there, I about peed my pants! We spent the month of July and part of August up at their Burlington house. The house is right on Lake Champlain! All of Lee's (the mom) family also has second houses up there. So it is a big family party everyday! Our days were filled with swimming at the point, dock, beach, boating, hikes, bike rides, crafts, dinner out side with everyone, cocktail hour, bomb fires and so much more! The only time we were in the house was to sleep! The kids had such a blast outside playing with cousins! It was also nice for me, cause I could sit under a tree and read and know that the kids were safe! Please don't get me wrong, people who live in Vermont are some of the most interesting people I have ever met or seen! I can't wait to spend next summer in Vermont!

The New Yorker

The end of April first of May were really hard. I just found out that I no longer had a job, no money, no home, no nothing. I had been trying to find a new job before I would have to move back to Utah. It was so stressful to find a new job. 2 of my friends from the YSA knew I was having a difficult time and they wanted to do something from me. So they surprised me with a weekend in the City. They got a hotel room at the New Yorker on 8th ave! We went in the City Friday night had dinner at the hotel, then just played around in our hotel room. On Saturday they made appointments at a salon! We got a massage, Mani- pedi and a hair cut! It was so much fun to be in a nice salon in New York! The best part was I didn't have to pay anything! After the salon we headed down to Queens for a dance! It was such a good weekend for me to forget my worries and just be a kid! I am so grateful for the friends that I have made out in New Jersey!

Yankees vs. Tampa Bay Rays

It was about time I went to a New York Yankees game! I bought cheap 30 dollar ticket and told Nichole we were going. The Yankees played against Tampa Bay Rays. It was amazing to be in the new stadium watching the team I love! It was also neat because it was Nichole's first MLB game.
After the game we were walking to the subway, and there were gates up and people waiting. So of course the stalker I am stopped and waited to see what what going on. We were able to see the players drive out! It was soo freakin cool so see the players up close and their beautiful cars! Derek Jeter was the last to come out. His window was rolled down, so I yelled " I love you Derek" and his reply was " I love you too". Pointed to me and winked. I know he didn't mean it, but who cares!! Its Derek Jeter! It was so fun! I just can't wait to go to the Yankees vs. Red Sox!!

Harbor Boat Cruise

So I have never been a big fan of Young Single Adults. When I moved out here to New Jersey I knew I would have to attend YSA activities to meet friends. I was not excited at first, but now I love it! It is totally different from Utah. They do fun activities and the people are amazing! They plan the best activities for us.

Let me just name a few things that we have done...

- BBQ and games in Central Park

-Six Flags

- Swimming in the Hudson

-Touring Princeton

-Dances all over New York

...many more I am just having a brain freeze.

But for one of May's activities they rented out a boat and had a dinner/dance on the Hudson River. Oh my goodness it was so much fun! Just dancing with friends on a boat having the New York skyline as the background made the night great! One of my favorite parts of the night was, when I got hot from dancing and all of the people around me, I could walk to the front of the boat and just let the breeze take over and looking at New York with all of the lights. The sounds of the music and the water crashing onto the boat, it was amazing. I will never forget how awesome that was. After the cruise we got a limo and we just drove around Times Square! It was a great night!

Dominican Republic

Yes I know I have been back from vacation for quite a while now. But I just have been dreading sitting down and writing about it. But I figure if I do it here, I wont have to re do it in my journal.

I was able to go with to the Dominican Republic with another nanny and her family. We left on March 27,2009. We flew out of Newark to Puerto Plata. When we got there we had a helicopter waiting for us! The family got in one and Alnesia and I got in another one. The ride to the resort was breath taking! We made friends with the pilot, so he took us around for a a little longer ride!

When we landed we had a golf cart with our names on it! We drove around exploring the resort! Clay and Renee ( Alnesia's employers) are owners at the Lifestyle Hacienda resort so we got a freakin' nice villa. Our villa had 9 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, 2 full bars, an outside pool table area, a pool, hot tub, volleyball court, and tons of grass! I would have been totally content staying at the villa, but I am happy I didn't!

After settling in, we jumped into our swimsuits and went down to the V.I.P beach! The V.I.P beach is of course only for V.I.P members! There were tons of beds, hammocks, a little pools out looking the beautiful blue ocean! We had a golden wrist band, and that meant everything was free. So we got a Diet Coke and grab a bed and laid out under the hot sun! (with sunscreen of course)!

The next day (March 28) we had breakfast cooked and served on the patio watching the sunrise! After breakfast we went down to the beach while relaxing we saw a couple getting a massage on the beach under palm trees. Then a light bulb came on! Lets go and get one!! OH MY GOSH! That was probably one of the best moments of my life! Just image... 115 degrees, the blue of blue ocean water, shade from palm trees, soft white sand, peaceful music and a hour and half massage! I never wanted to leave. After the massage we went back down to the beach and had lunch.

While we were at lunch the pilot from the helicopter was there. He asked if we wanted to go for another ride. Of course!! I asked if we needed to pay anything. He said the ride was on him! It was so much fun! We were able to get low enough to see the local boys playing basketball! One point during the ride we could only see the ocean. I kind of peed myself, cause I was soo scared, but at the same time it was such a sweet sight. We were so lucky to have that experience. We were in the helicopter for an hour. (If we had to pay it would have cost over $200.00). For the rest of the day we just chilled at the villa. We offered to stay back and watch the kids so the parents could have time to themselves.

On Sunday March 29, 2009 we went to the beach and swam in the ocean for 4 hours straight. The water was so blue that you could walk out so far and see your feet! After we just chilled at the V.I.P lounge. For dinner every Sunday they have a program for the V.I.P members. It was fun! The food was soo gross!

Monday March 30, 2009 we all went to Sea World. It was a lot of fun to go with the little kids! But what I loved most about Sea World was, I got to swim with Dolphins!! At first I was so freakin scared I would jump every time they came near me! (If you don't know, I hate, hate, hate fish or anything else in the water) Once I calmed down, it was amazing. Dolphins are soo smooth so heavy and nice! I can't believe that I kissed it on the lips. We danced together and he acted like he was saving me! I can't wait to swim with them again! Oh and because Alnesia and I were in the water I have NO pictures. After the day at Sea World we went back, got dressed up and went out to dinner.

For the rest of the trip contains of going to the beach, V.I.P lounge, playing in the golf cart, shopping, eating, swimming, laying out, reading a good book, and drinking lots of Diet Cokes!

I had to leave 2 days before everyone else, cause I had to work. So I asked instead of taking the helicopter, if I could take the limo and drive through the city. Oh my goodness. I felt so blessed for everything that I have. I have no words to describe what I saw. If you have ever been to a poor country you know what I am talking about. I just wanted to give everything I had to make their life a little easier. I felt so guilty being in a limo in front of them. It really opened my eyes. One thing that I loved, instead of having a car dealer ships, they have car door dealer ships! Cause there driving is so bad, they have to change the car doors all the time!

I am so grateful for this opportunity and for all of the amazing experiences I was able to have. This is on the great things about being a nanny!!

YANKEES vs. RED SOX

I am very excited and happy to say that I will be attending the New York YANKEES vs. Boston Red Sox on August 6,2009 at 7:00!!! We got amazing seats for a really good deal!! You can't even image how excited I am for this game!! I just wanted to share my joy with all of you!

Six Flags

I am happy to say that I am a season pass holder to Six Flags!! So much better than Lagoon!! (but I still love Lagoon)! Last weekend Nichole and I went to Six Flags cause the weather was amazing! We had such a blast, we knew that we wanted to come again and again, so they were having a deal if you bought one season pass you get the other free! We split the cost of it, and now we can go when ever we want!! While we were there we ran into some girls in the ward, so we hung out with them! PHILADELPHIA

Two weeks ago we had a road trip to Philadelphia! Heather's parents live down there, so I took the girls to see them. I was able to bring a friend and go explore Philly! It was a lot of fun! Mackenzie and Bailee loved that I was going to stay a Mana and Poppy's house with them! We left on a Friday and came home that Sunday. On Friday me and Nichole went to the movies, then went swimming! ( Mana and Poppy's house has a pool right in the middle of their house)! Then on Saturday we left early in the morning to go explore Philly! We went to Love Park, saw where the Philadelphia Eagles play, The Phillies, and the Philadelphia 76ers! It was soo cool, they are all in walking distance from each other!! Then we went to King of Prussia Mall. That mall is soo big! I mean it is so big, once you walk in they give you a map so you don't get lost in the different buildings! I was in heaven!!! Then that night we went back to the house and went swimming with the girls! It was a fun weekend to just get a way and relax!

Bailee is 2 1/2 years old! She is one smart little girl!! She is soo full of energy and love!! She is a little dare devil! And when you don't hear her, you know there is trouble! Bailee also loves shoes! Every time I leave to go somewhere, she always asks if I am coming back! Or I will be playing on the floor and she will just run up to me and give me a great big hug and say "I love you more!" I Love Her!

A Stroll in Central Park

A couple of weeks ago me and 2 other Nanny's thought it would be fun to go to Central Park and go ice skating.. Well the weather thought it would be freakin freezing! So instead of ice skating we took a carriage ride through the whole park!! It was so much fun! It was cool to learn all about the park! It was soo beautiful with the snow on the ground!! Ok so on Friday night we went into the City for a dance.. But it turned out that the dance was on Saturday.. So we went to Times Square just to walk around... As we were walking we saw these 2 boys holding up there friend. He was soo drunk and high.. we thought it was soo funny cause he could barley walk.. so we thought it would be fun to follow them... the boy that was under the influence he kept falling and they could not get him up... a couple of blocks later some cops saw them and pulled them off to the side to get there info... so we of course stooped and watched a few feet back! The cops did NOTHING! why i am soo surprised that they did nothing was.. they boys were 12 and 13. The cops got a taxi and put them in it. And they were just little boys in a big city being soo dumb... But if that was to happen in Utah, the boys would have been in HUGE trouble!! Only in the city!! But it was sure funny!!

After our little adventure with the drunk boy, there are these red steps that you can go and get better pics of the city, or just relax. ( under the stairs is where you can buy Broadway tickets for cheaper) It was about 12:00pm and we just sat on the stairs and watched the City that never sleeps. It was amazing, it was late at night so all the lights were on, people still going 100 miles a minute, and the weather was just perfect. All I can say it was breath taking!!

Utah vs. New Jersey

So I love living out on the East Coast!! It is soo much fun! But at the same time I do kind of miss Utah... But it has been amazing to see another part of America! There are soo many different things out here.. and I love them all.. Let me just tell you some of the differences.

1- You CANT pump your own gas. its against the law. You have to stay in your car at all times.

2- They have "love handles" on their roads. What this is.. YOU CAN'T MAKE ANY LEFT TURNS. you have to go around the love handle and then stop at a light and then turn. They are really called "Jug handles" But I call them "love handles" cause they are annoying and you can't get rid of them.

3- Every town has the same street names. (It can get hard when you are lost!)

4- They don't have Wal Marts. There is only one from here to New York.. and its ghetto!!

5- There are no fast food places.. they only have Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts.

6- They have an amazing mall called the Short Hills Mall. (its been in a lot of movies)!!

7- I am only 30 minutes away from the big apple!

8-There are NO sales taxes on clothing!!

9- If you have blond hair, you are from out of state!

10- Its NOTHING like happy valley.. the exact opposite!

And the BEST thing about where I live now is... When I am driving on the freeway at night and I can see the New York skyline all lit up!! Love itttt!!!!

NEW JERSEY

I have been out in New Jersey for 3 weeks now! yes 3 weeks!! wow time flys so fast when your having fun! So let me update you on what I have been doing here in the East Coast!

I got out here on January 5, 2009! My family came and picked me up from the airport!! They stayed in the car, until I came outside. Because the dad Phil was out of town for the week for school, so Heather the mom had the two girls with her. They were pulled out of bed, so she didn't want to hall them in asleep!! Right when I saw Heather I knew I was going to be in good family! It was late when we got to their house, so I really didn't get to see the town.

Heather is amazing! She is soo sweet! She really cares about me and how I am doing! She is a nurse 2 days a week at a rehab center. And other than that she is a mom that loves her girls so much and wants only the best for them! She is a wonderful hands on mom!!

Phil is great!! I still don't know him very well. Cause I was here for a week until I met him! So we are starting to get to know each other better! He works in NYC at a bank. And he is going to school to get his MD! So he is always studying! But he graduates in May!

Mackenzie is 4 1/2! She is blond hair that is super curly! She is very active and loves to be doing something!! She has so much energy!! It is so much fun to see what she will come up with! She is in LOVE with shoes!! If she gets in trouble, you take away her shoes or lip gloss!! She is super girly! and I love it!!

Bailee is 2 1/2! She is so much fun!! She loves to play with my hair or play on my phone!! She likes to do whatever her sister is doing! Bailee is super smart!! It is crazy to see a 2 year old that smart!! She too is always super girly!! So we love to play dress up or paint our nails!!

I have been soooo blessed with such a great family!! I think we are going to get along great!! the area is amazing!! There are trees everywhere!! The town that i live in is super cute!! it kind of reminds me of Sugar House area!

I love their house! it is about 200 years old!! and they have fixed it soo cute! There are 4 floors! The top floor has 2 bedrooms and an office! That is where I sleep! The second floor is where the parents sleep and the two girls. My bathroom is also on that floor! The third floor is where the kitchen, living room, and playroom! And the basement is where the laundry room is. and also storage. The basement is not finished yet! They have a beautiful yard! I can't wait for summer so we can play outside!

I can't believe that the year 2008 has passed. Crazy! So I just want to list 8 things that happened in 2008 that I am greatful for!

1- It has been 10 years that I have been Cancer FREE!!
2- I completed my first year of college!
3- Went to California on a road trip with a friend!
4- Brad came home from his mission!
5- Spent time with family at Lakes, Lagoon, etc.
6- Moved out on my own!
7- Got my first "real" job!
8- FAMILY

Now, here are 9 things I would like to happen in 2009

BLACK Friday

I love Black Fridays! It is soo exciting to wake up at 5:00 in the morning and go stand in the cold waiting for the doors to open.. and then putting your life on the line trying to get that hot item that everyone seems to want!! Love it!! On my moms side of the family all of the girls get together look at the ads and make a plan!! it is soo much fun to do this with family!!

But this year was a little different!... I go to bed thinking I better get to sleep so I can wake up in 3 hours... well as I was talking to my self, my cell phone rings... and its Kim asking if I would like to go to Wal Mart and wait in line with her and Missy. Sure.. But the catch was they were going right then! at 11:30 at night!! I was like OKKKK count me in!! I go and tell my mom that i was leaving now and i would just meet her at Wal Mart at 5:00! Crazy I know!

OH MY GOODNESS! It was soo much fun to be 1 of 20 people in the whole store! We were crazy!! We were all soo tired, so we were all acting crazy!! We made soo many new friends that night! some poeple i bet hate me for being so loud, but I just don't care cause i will never see them again! My favorite part was telling people that they were too late, and to move on! Cause people just thought that they could come an hour before and get what they want!! So we told them too bad! good luck next year!! here are some pics from our great time at Wal Mart!

Dumb PuZzLe

So during Conference I thought that I would start a puzzle to help the time fly by. So I found a 1000 peace of Wicked. Well this dumb puzzle took me forever. I started it on Conference and I finished it on Thanksgiving! Freak!! The hardest part was.. there was only 3 colors! But when I finished I was soo happy for myself! BUT some dumb person thought that it would be funny to hide one of the parts.. and so yes there was one missing! I was kind of sad! But here are some pics of my work in progress!!

7 Weird CrAzY Quirks

So I love doing tags... but this one! I could not think of anything that was "weird or crazy" until I got talking with Selina! And she had NO problem picking things out for me! ha ha jk! But here we go...

1. I would die if Victoria Secret went out of business. I get something new there every week!

2. I have to be the first driver at everything. If there is a car in the next lane, i have to be a little ahead. Or a stop lights I have to be the first one gone. I love to "floss" through the lanes!

3. During movies I don't look at the people, I look at things in the background and see if things change from one view to the next view. Like on "Friends" the set always is changing like there would be 3 books but then one minuted later there would be no books. Or peoples hair. It drives me crazy!!

4. My clothes are in a special order. First by color, then by length, then by the store they were bought at. ( and yes they are alphabetic order) And then each color of the shirt has matching hangers.

5. Just like my clothes, my DVDs are in a special order. On one shelf it is for the dancing movies and the water movies. (and they are in order of how much i like the movie.) then on the next shelf it is all chick flicks. (and that is also in order how much i like them.) On the 3rd shelf is all the other movies and they are in alphabetic order. And YES i do know when one is out of its place. If i know someone watched one of my movies before i go to sleep i check to see if they put it back in the right spot! Stupid I know!

6. I am very careless! I don't care if i talk wrong, spell something wrong. I don't care if people don't like me. I don't care if i never wear makeup again. I don't care going to the mall in my PJ's. I don't care if I don't match. I don't care if my hair gets done. I need to work on all of it, but i just don't care!

7. I love to sleep in cold weather. Every night I sleep with the window open. I just love to be cold when I sleep!

OK so i know i am a total freak cause of this, but guess what i don't care what you think! :)

There is not a day that goes by that I don't have my I-pod in! I love listing to music! Music is such a wonderful thing! If you are in a bad mood you can put on a song and somehow it makes you feel better. Or if you are sad you can put on a song and it makes you smile. Music is such a great thing! I find myself always going to my I-pod! When I am walking around campus or driving in my car or doing homework or just laying in the hammock!

But the other day something very sad happened to my music world... MY I-POD RAN OUT OF MEMORY... I can no longer listen to new songs. I am always going to I Tunes to get the newest songs, but not anymore. It was a sad day... So this just means that I need to go and buy a new I-Pod that has more memory! (well someday!) But I just want everyone to know how much I love music!!!

I have always loved to read but I never seem to have the time. Well when I started my English class this semester I knew that I needed something to do during class. My class is soo boring! and my teacher is a piece of work. I have read 5 books in one month! that is a total record for me! During class I read the whole time. My teacher thinks that I am doing my homework, but really I am reading to keep my self going insane! But now I always have to have a book to read. It is very weird! If you like to read you need to read "Escape" its about polygamy. WOW it totally opens your mind about them. "Louder than Words" It is about Jenny McCarthy and her journey having a son with autism and how they cured him. Then "Mother Warriors" it's also by Jenny McCarthy and how she is fighting to get autism noticed by doctors. Those two books make you so grateful for what you have! "Stori Telling" its by Tori Spelling. Yes I know you are all thinking why would I want to read about her. Her story is very instering. ( I read this book because it was on the "New York's Best Sellers" and they always have good books). But enough with the books i've read... I need new ones.. if anyone has a favorite book please tell me so I can go and get it!!

When Cameron and Selina got married I was able to go to the temple and play with the little ones! It was so much fun being out on the temple grounds with all of them! Even though it was a little hard at times with all of them running around in all different places!.. I was thinking what can I do with them so they don't get dirty for the pictures. I thought and I thought and then the light turned on... lets play with the camera! They all wanted to take pictures of everything and everyone.. so we came up with the game if i take a picture of you, you can take the next one! This was so much fun to watching them take pictures of rocks, there fingers, and trying to get the next person in the frame. But they all loved it and i got some great pictures of your kids!

I think the 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays of the year. Why?... Well my on my moms side of the family spends the whole day celebrating! We have a big breakfast before the parade, then we go to the Kaysville parade catch candy and then play in the water part of it! and then we all go home and do our own thing for a while.. we always take a nap or go to a movie! and then we have a BBQ. Then we fight on what fireworks we are going to go to that year! Its so much fun to spend time with the family!! (even though we are freakin crazy!)... Now that I have gotten older I don't spend the whole day.. just part! the other half I spend with friends!!

Well these past few weeks I have been thinking what I should do for the summer.. should I stay in Provo and find a new job or should I come home and get a job up here and save money? Well when I was having problems with my apt. management that is when I knew I should come home. It has been a change from being on my own then going back to living with my family! Well as you all know American Idol came to an end yesterday.. Did you know that it was rigged?.. the WRONG David won! David Archuleta should have won!!! He was the best American Idol has ever seen! America just felt bad for Cook's brother who I guess is "sick". But Archuleta has the best voice and talent compared to Cook. Its ok though because Archuleta is going so much farther in life then Cook!!
